This Privacy Policy explains what information Jumble Solver (“we”, “us”) collects when you use jumblesolver.si (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. We built the Site to need as little personal information as possible: you can unscramble words, use the Word Finder and play the Daily Challenge without an account.
When you press Solve, the letters, pattern and filters you entered are sent to our server to look up matching words. These queries are not tied to your name or account (there are none). To keep the Site fast, the results for a given set of letters may be cached on our server for up to 24 hours.
If you message us through the contact page, we receive your name, email address and message by email so we can reply. To stop spam, your IP address is briefly used, in one-way hashed form, to limit how many messages can be sent in a short period.
Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, referring page and the date and time. This is used for security, troubleshooting and preventing abuse.
The Site saves your solver statistics, Daily Challenge progress, streaks and scores in your browser’s local storage so they are there next time. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data. See our Cookie Policy.
Our advertising and analytics partners may collect information through cookies and similar technologies, as described in sections 3 and 4.
Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors): we rely on our legitimate interests in providing and securing a free website (sections 1a–1c), on your consent for non-essential cookies, personalised advertising and analytics, and on legal obligations where they apply. You can withdraw consent at any time.
We use, or may use, Google AdSense to display ads. In particular:
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent through a Google-certified consent message before personalised ads or non-essential cookies are used. If you decline, you may still see non-personalised ads, which use cookies only for things like frequency capping and fraud prevention.
We use, or may use, Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are popular and how people arrive here. It uses cookies and collects information such as pages visited, approximate location (country or city), device and browser type. We do not use it to identify you personally. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or through the consent choices offered on the Site.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only with the service providers listed above who help us run the Site, with advertising and analytics partners as described in sections 3–4, if required by law or to protect our rights and users’ safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of the Site.
US state privacy laws (including California): the use of advertising cookies may count as “selling” or “sharing” personal information for targeted advertising under some laws. You can opt out by using the privacy and cookie choices on the Site, enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser, or using the opt-out links in section 3.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale/sharing” of personal information. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights. To make a request, use our contact page. We may need to verify your request. EEA and UK residents can also complain to their local data protection authority.
Our service providers, including Google, may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Jumble Solver is a family-friendly word game, but it is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Children should not use the contact form without a parent’s permission. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
The Site uses HTTPS encryption, and we take reasonable steps to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.
